Here at Gateway to Life Church we are true believers in the great commission where Christ challenged His disciples with these words.
And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
As followers of Christ we believe that this is our mandate and are actively looking for ways to fulfill that command in our city, in our country and throughout the world. Listed below are some of the ministries we support as part of that mandate. We are still looking for more opportunities to impact our world.
One of our primary ministeries that we support is the RAN network. We have dedicated ourselves to assisting the ministry in a part of the world where the gospel has not been welcome. Jesus was quite clear that he would not return until the gospel had been preached to all people.
We also sponsor a child in Kenya through ChildCare Plus. We Believe in making a difference one person at a time. We would encourage you to consider this simple act of sponsoring a child in a third world country.
Gateway Kidz are learning how to be generous with the blessings that God has given them by supporting missions. This year our goal is to raise $100.00 for a missions work in CUBA. Please encourage our children to bless others because they need to learn that "it is better to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
Thank you to everyone who filled a shoebox and brought it back to the church. All together we filled nine shoeboxes and were apart of a greater effort here on Manitoulin Island that resulted in many shoeboxes being filled for children in third world countries. We pray that God would bless each one of you that gave so that next year we can be even more generous.
Manitoulin Centennial Manor
Every third Sunday of the month Detlef Heiser, one of the Council members here at Gateway to Life Church, hosts a church service for the residents at the Manor. This service takes place at 2 pm and anyone who is interested in attending can attend. Also Pastor Phil has began visitations once a month for those who would like a visit. If you or someone you know would like a visit please contact the church and leave a message for Pastor Phil and he will make sure to visit.
Manitoulin Family Resources helps families on the Island. This year we gave a donation to the MFR food bank as they assisted over 800 families here on the Island who are struggling to make ends meet.
We are in the process of updating our home missions board. We presently are involved with our local seniors home and assist with benevolance funding for those in the community. We are actively seeking other ways to get involved with our community.
